Who or what even is marylouing?: marylouing is an alias that I would release music under on SoundCloud from April 2023 to January 2026. The genre of the music released under this alias varied, but primarily consisted of eclectic electronic music.

Why did you retire this alias?: I retired the alias due to multiple reasons. The main reason is that the way in which I was getting noticed by people was... honestly really overwhelming to me. The more people would start following me and listening, the more I would feel a sort of... invisible pressure, you could say... where I would go through the standard internal conflict of "Can I even feel like I'm doing this for myself anymore? Am I only making music for impressions and not an authentic kind of self-gratification?" Ultimately, in terms of the stuff I was making, I think I was just scared of losing myself even further. Despite that, I still strongly appreciated having a platform where I could be noticed for what I did.

Are you still making music? If so, where can I find it?: I'm still making music, but I don't really do the whole "alias" thing anymore, nor do I have my music up on any streaming platforms. You can find the stuff that I make on the music demos page that's located in a different part of this website.

Would you ever come back to releasing music for this alias?: I can't really see that happening for now.
